• NFTs are still unknown in Honduras, and many aspiring artists could shine in the NFT markets.
• In Honduras, people hear crypto & web3 and they equate it all with scams and the dark web. So all public spaces, both online and in-person to show the true value & potential of Ethereum & web3 is a plus.
• Many Honduran artists don't know how to convert their art pieces into NFTs.

Solution

Launch the first edition of NFT the Future of Art, a new ongoing event organized by Ethereum Honduras, aimed at presenting Honduran art as NFTs and holding a series of presentations on the world of NFTs, Ethereum, and Web3.

During the event, there will be a permanent exhibition of Honduran artists who have converted their works to NFTs and some outstanding NFT art collections. Also, there will be a series of presentations and panels regarding this new art form, NFT markets, how to mint art pieces into NFTs, as well as the Ethereum platform with its potential and many applications. With the intent of providing exposure to innovative Honduran artists & onboarding, as well as empowering them and raising awareness of the amazing opportunities Ethereum can provide to Honduran society. Free events and any purchase of art will be made through the proper channels, Ethereum Honduras does not receive money or charge for its public good activities.

The event will be on Saturday, December 10th at La Galeria, a shopping center that promotes Honduran art in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The exhibition will showcase 10 Honduran digital artists that already have NFTs in the market and they will be selected by a panel of three curators (art managers & collectors). During the 8 hours of exhibition, there will be 7 presentations and panels going on.

We have a Vision of contributing to Hondura's development through the integration & education of the Ethereum ecosystem & web3 use. The funding of public social goods & services, the adoption & creation of new technologies, culminating in people and community empowerment through employability, entrepreneurship & leadership.

Team

A core of volunteers & community leaders from Ethereum Honduras, a community that began in 2018, aimed at creating educational hubs for anyone interested in learning about Ethereum as a problem-solving technology. We are a group of developers, designers, project managers & social entrepreneurs that participate in the Ethereum ecosystem.
