I am writing to request initial research and development funding to create an online encyclopedia similar in function to Wikipedia, but with the main purpose of cataloging all cryptocurrency tokens in a single comprehensive database.

There are currently thousands of different cryptocurrency tokens in circulation, each with its own unique characteristics and uses.

While there are existing resources for learning about cryptocurrency, or monitoring the financial standing, they are often fragmented and unreliable. This encyclopedia will provide a single, purpose-built, community-maintained resource for individuals and organizations to learn about cryptocurrency tokens, their history, unique technologies, features, and use cases.

The encyclopedia will be built on a wiki platform similar to Wikipedia, allowing for collaborative editing and continuous updates.

In the spirit of Wikipedia, the TokenWiki project will

• Be 100% supported by donations only.
• Contain content maintained and updated by community volunteers (after initial bootstapping phase).

Unlike Wikipedia, TokenWiki will

• Accept donations in any native crypto asset.
• Be hosted on a distributed file system.
• Exclusively cover cryptocurrency related information, with the majority focus on tokens and the unique technical aspects of the existing blockchains.

We estimate that the project will take approximately 12 months to complete, with various ongoing updates and maintenance likely after launch. We believe that this encyclopedia will be an invaluable resource for anyone involved with cryptocurrency.
