We're excited to announce that the ENS Wayback Machine, the decentralized web archive, has undergone a significant revamp to improve the user experience and extend its reach.

The ENS Wayback Machine, similar to Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, enables users to view historical versions of IPFS content associated with ENS domains. Researchers, historians, and the just plain curious have found it an invaluable tool for observing the evolution of ENS websites, retracing the footsteps of Web3, or even recovering lost content.

Our service utilizes the unique property of the blockchain where IPFS links are immutably stored, and hence, the capability to revisit the past versions of ENS domains which have corresponding IPFS content.

Thanks to a previous ENS Ecosystem Small Grant, the ENS Wayback Machine now features a brand-new design, putting a fresh face on our platform. We focused on enhancing the user interface to make it more intuitive, visually appealing, and comfortable to navigate.

Another milestone we're proud to share is the release of our mobile version, making it easier for you to explore ENS domains' past right from your mobile devices. You can now traverse the timeline of Web3 whenever and wherever you wish.

For instance, to observe the evolution of Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin's personal website, simply navigate to vitalik.eth via our web app. Use the top bar to switch between different versions of the site, visually mapping out the changes over time.

Our team is steadfast in enhancing the functionality and user-friendliness of the ENS Wayback Machine. Our next step? Incorporating significant milestones into the timeline, such as the domain's initial registration, renewals, and transfers.
