dataDAO with ENS Subdomain as Public Data Profiles

Innovating Market Research Targeting through the Power of ENS Text Records

Introduction:

  • Datalatte is a dataDAO poised to transform web3 market research. We aim to link on-chain behaviors with off-chain opinions, allowing web3 users to control and monetize their data. Our focus is to provide market researchers with unique insights through a privacy-preserving & self sovereign approach utilizing ENS subdomains. Shown here is the architecture of our feature sets for our upcoming launch. To better understand our architecture, we made a demo in a hackathon with similar flow, however different techstack.

Feature set

Objective:

  • Our goal is to empower web3 users to manage and financially benefit from their personal data. We intend to create pseudo-anonymized, on-chain public profiles for our dataDAO members using ENS subdomains. These profiles will capture on-chain activities and personal interests, extracted using services like Dune API, while ensuring user privacy.

ENS Subdomains Utilization:

  • We leverage ENS subdomains to provide onchain data profile ownership & management. Through account abstraction via Telegram, users can mint an ENS subdomain linked to their account abstracted data profile. This approach, based on the Optimism EVM gateway and 'datalatte.eth' on L1, makes our dataDAO members' profiles publicly discoverable, while staying pseudo-anonymised and useful for market researchers to discover & target.

Integration with Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG):

  • We are building a Community Knowledge Graph with data collected from off-chain interactions, stored on OriginTrail's DKG. These knowledge assets, tied to ENS subdomains, ensure data ownership proof and enable anonymous market research interactions.

Innovation in Data Collection:

  • Our strategy visions collecting data off-chain without the need for a wallet connection. Using Datalatte's form plugin on third-party platforms, users can participate in surveys and verify their submissions through their ENS subdomain, authenticated via accounts abstracted Telegram handle.

Value to the ENS Ecosystem:

  1. Simplifying the process for newcomers to acquire an ENS subdomain, promoting it as an pseudo-anonymous on-chain identity.
  2. Utilizing ENS text records to store and make discovery of user features for market research.
  3. Linking ENS subdomains with OriginTrail's DKG for enhanced public discoverability in the knowledge graph.

Current Status and Vision:

  • Since October 2021, Datalatte has evolved, focusing now on web3 market research via off-chain data (interviews via LLMs). We plan a Q1 2024 relaunch, emphasizing user onboarding through Telegram and leveraging ENS subdomains for public profiles. Our commitment is to integrate these subdomains into our platform, enhancing our dataDAO's user experience and build with the ENS community.
