Onthis builds Shortcuts, which allow users to bridge, swap, earn, and more by sending ETH to human-readable contracts directly from your wallet.
Example of ENS Shortcut: toBase.eth, user sends ETH to "toBase.eth" directly from their Metamask, and the rest is done by the Shortcut. Never leave your wallet. You can visit https://onthis.xyz/ to discover our 30+ Shortcuts. The creative canvas for Shortcut creation is endless.
Reasons Why ENS Shortcuts is a huge win for the ENS ecosystem and crypto in general.
- UX improvement: Phishing is a big problem in our space. Shortcuts solve this by allowing users to safely transact directly from their wallets.
- Contract Naming: Expand the ENS brand awareness by leveraging Contract naming which only until recently was available for Addresses. Etherscan now supports contract naming, we are one of the first projects to do this: Example of "toArbitrum.eth" a simple Arbitrum bridge: https://etherscan.io/address/0x2aa66d5d61BB164e8e60E914143bFd1664A8ba3e
- Layer2 ENS domains: the expansion of ENS naming to Layer2s opens up a world of usage. We're currently working with Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and Polygon to create Ecosystem-specific Shortcuts.
- Improve the Wallet experience: We have applied our Snap to MetaMask which would allow users to see more information on their ENS Shortcut directly in their MetaMask, we believe this will further enhance the experience in the wallet.
- Shortcut Point System: We launched a point system that will reward creators and users. https://docs.onthis.xyz/overview/shortcut-points/overview
- Audits: We need help to fund ongoing audits of our contracts.
We are diligently working on all 6 items above with our team and will continue to break grounds on innovation in the ENS ecosystem.
