MúsicaW3 is a global Latin community focused on accelerating the adoption and development of the Web3 music industry to support the sustainability of independent musicians careers. It was created by six founding members living in different Latin American countries. We gather from Monday to Friday to offer educational talks on Web3 technology and music in Spanish, inviting enthusiasts who want to learn about Web3. Primarily, we guide musicians from both web2 and web3 to convert their songs to the blockchain and develop a career in this space. We also encourage them to bring their colleagues, fans, or holders for education and to promote their new collections in our space. Our goal is to foster knowledge and participation in Web3 technology while building a strong and diverse community. We aim to expand these activities throughout Latin America, even merging physical spaces with the Web3.
Key Activities
Social Media Content Creation: Primarily on X and its Xpaces, we maintain daily broadcasts covering various topics of interest to musicians and content creators, aiming to provide solid education and foster community support among artists, as well as promote their works.
Educational and Entertainment Events IRL: With the proposal of attracting new audiences from the artistic and cultural realms to Web3 ecosystems.
Cultural Management: We organize musical improvisation jams at the Block House cultural and technology center in Buenos Aires, where the MúsicaW3 IRL musical scene is taking shape, intending for musicians to share ideas and art.
Community Festivals: With the intention of educating live audiences about Web3 musicians.
Participation in Spaces, Talks, Debates, and Conferences: Such as Eth Argentina and Labitconf, where we represent the community and provide valuable information for artists, creators, and entrepreneurs.
NFT Music Compilations: To promote and support various independent Latin American talents, blending web2 and web3 musicians in a collective work.
Short-Term Goals
We are at a point of generating a greater amount of educational content in Spanish to continue attracting new audiences, as well as expanding the channels where we present it. Simultaneously, we continue working on the development of a Web3 music scene that focuses on inclusion, quality education, and camaraderie among local artists through the management of events that promote exchange and collective growth, including Web3 experiences such as live music minting.
Vision and Impact
The vision is to collectively expand the adoption of blockchain technology and Web3 culture throughout Latin America and expand the Web3 music market in Latam. We advocate for the talent of independent musicians with limited resources by providing tools for self-sustainability in their careers and international exposure. Our impact should be to change the values of the classical industry by offering independent musicians the option of not being signed by a multinational record label or depending on streaming from centralized companies that devalue the worth of their songs and still thrive.
Long-Term Goals
We envision MúsicaW3 as a diverse community that generates a positive impact on the global Latin artistic community. To achieve this, we believe it is necessary to provide content and opportunities that address different situations faced by Latin American artists. We aim to enable free education at various levels through our communication channels. Meanwhile, we seek to facilitate awards, Song Camps, contests, and activities in different locations to expand the values of the community.
We are seeking funding to support our ongoing activities, including organizing educational talks, supporting artists creations, promoting events, and creating educational resources.
