Regen Score

On-chain reputation layer for regens in public goods

What is Regen Score?

Regen Score introduces an innovative measure to evaluate individual regenerative behavior on the blockchain. Currently in its beta phase, continuous enhancements are being made to refine the system. Its goal is to democratize governance and stimulate active involvement within the public goods ecosystem.

Through a transparent mechanism, Regen Score assesses individuals based on their blockchain activities, leveraging gamification to motivate positive contributions. This, in turn, fosters an environment of collaboration and trust. Initially developed for Optimism's Citizen House, our broader ambition is to see the Regen Score adopted across various communities in the web3 public good space. With a tool like this, data-driven decision-making becomes accessible, paving the way for a more open and inclusive governance framework.

With Regen Score, you can:

  • Measure your impact and regen footprint stored in the blockchain
  • Establish reputation across different regen ecosystems
  • Find more potential connections or contributions suitable for your profile

Regen Score stands as a testament to the power of open-source collaboration. Born at EthNYC 2022 and developed with the collective insights and expertise of the Trusted Seed community and its regen alliances, this tool is openly accessible to all. By embracing the open-source ethos, Regen Score not only quantifies individual impact in the blockchain ecosystem but also fosters a culture of transparency, innovation, and shared growth. We invite everyone to explore, contribute, and be part of this regenerative journey. Visit our public Github repo.

Where will the funding go?

Our vision for Regen Score is expansive and dynamic, aiming to encompass a wider range of functionalities and features. The ENS Small Grant will help us broaden our scope and seamlessly incorporate new features and other regenerative behaviors pivotal in the web3 and public good space. This financial support will empower us to maintain our current developmental pace and accelerate it.

Another significant portion of the funding will be used to create more comprehensive and user-friendly learning resources. These resources will facilitate the adoption of the Regen Score and help web3 projects qualify as regenerative to be included in the attestations.

By supporting Regen Score, the ENS community will not only be contributing to the evolution of one project but will be propelling a paradigm shift in how governance, trust, and collaboration are perceived and executed in the digital space. More than just a request for financial support, this proposal is an invitation to be a part of a transformative journey that will enrich the web3 ecosystem and enhance the public goods landscape.
