IDCV

All your data are belong to you

Decentralized Identity (id.cv) refers to a system where individuals control their own identity information without relying on a central authority or intermediary. Users will have a CV (user.id.cv) unchain and off chain.

We propose a revolutionary and permissionless identity verification method using the Ethereum public network, leveraging ENS and SBT (Soul Bound Tokens) technology. By utilizing services such as IPFS for secure storage, id.cv aims to provide a decentralized, self-sovereign identity system. This initiative will empower individuals to manage their identities in a secure and verifiable manner, free from the constraints of centralized control.

How it works:

ENS: used to register a unique identity and store a text record or an IPFS hash, linking the individual’s identity data. SBTs: used to create non-transferable, verifiable credentials that encapsulate personal achievements and identity IPFS: used to securely store identity documents and credentials, ensuring they are immutable and accessible.

For individuals unfamiliar with blockchain technology, there should be an intuitive platform to register an ENS name, generate their identity profile, and store credentials on the Ethereum network. Further enhancements, such as credential verification, privacy-preserving features, and integration with various services, will provide a robust identity solution that benefits all users. Additionally, id.cv will introduce proof of personhood capability to ENS, ensuring that each identity is unique and verifiable. Tokens will be distributed to individuals as a means of incentivizing participation and validating their identities.

Roadmap

  1. Develop a user-friendly portal for decentralized identity management with clear instructions on how to register an ENS name and create an identity profile.
  2. Create a seamless process for users to generate and manage their identity credentials using SBTs and store them on IPFS.
  3. Enable easy verification and sharing of identity credentials by linking them to the ENS name, ensuring privacy and security.
  4. Implement proof of personhood capabilities to ENS, issuing tokens to individuals to validate and incentivize their participation in the decentralized identity ecosystem.

This grant will revolutionize how individuals manage their digital identities, providing a secure, decentralized, and user-centric approach to identity verification and management- used to register a unique identity and store a text record or an IPFS hash, linking the individual’s identity data.
