Blocktrend is a Taiwan-based, independent media platform providing trusted Web3 content in Chinese. Established in 2017, Blocktrend has published over 600 articles and produced 250 podcast episodes, making it the most authentic and consistent content media in the Chinese-speaking Web3 space. Blocktrend offers in-depth analysis and weekly newsletters, delivered to over 16,000 dedicated subscribers, with a strong focus on slow but thorough information that builds trust.
Why Us
Blocktrend is a long-term participant in digital public goods, sending out one free article and on free podcast each week to all readers directly to their inboxes. Many of our readers, especially students who have never paid, say that Blocktrend has been a companion in their growth.
Our podcast, with approximately 15,000 downloads per episode and 60,000 monthly listens, is the most reliable Web3 content in Chinese. This broad reach helps translate English Web3 content to the Chinese-speaking audience effectively. Latest episode, currently in planning, will feature Jeff Lau, an ENS engineer, discussing the history and latest advancements in ENS in Mandarin. This unique content exemplifies Blocktrend's role in bringing Web3 discussions to the Chinese community. Blocktrend's podcast is entirely free and publicly accessible.

Grant Use
A significant portion of our funding comes from public goods grants, which is crucial for the sustained operation and growth of Blocktrend. While we primarily rely on the support of our paid subscription members, public goods grants form another vital pillar that supports our continued production of new content for free readers. This funding enables us to continue delivering quality content and expanding our reach within the Web3 community.
