A bi-weekly summary of the developments and happenings within the Ethereum Name Service DAO and its Working Groups.
New publications are released on the 1st and 15th of every month. Current outlets where it is available include the ENS DAO Forums, through a dedicated Substack, and on the Newsletter's Twitter account, through Revue.
This digest is intended to provide ongoing transparency into the ever-improving ENS protocol as well as its diverse community – including detailed documentation from the Working Groups, information about upcoming technical developments, and summaries of the latest governance proposals.
We hope to provide the best coverage of both ENS the technology and of the ENS DAO, or “decentralized autonomous organization.” Information about our community meetings, proposals, and governance decisions will be compiled in each edition, as well as the latest updates to the ENS protocol and ecosystem as a whole.
This publication intends to maintain a credibly neutral, non-biased, accurate, reliable, and curated single source for all things ENS.
We intend to reach the widest audience possible.

How will we use the grant funds?
The ENS Newsletter is an important function of the ENS DAO. It helps inform Delegates, Stewards, Contributors and Speculators of what work is currently being done in the DAO. Syndicating this information is an important work and social function to ensure the long-term sustainability and continued productivity of the DAO.
In the following editions, we will work to add bi-weekly editorials within the Newsletter, linked back to ENS DAO’s Mirror. The bi-weekly editorials will consist of the following (and more):
Highlighting core contributors’ efforts helps to give praise to “invisible work”. It also helps them gain visibility in the greater DAO ecosystem and will attract high quality contributors to the DAO in the future as well.
Highlighting work done by contributors is extremely important to Community health. It helps to build trust DAO-wide and encourages contributors to step up and offer their time, skills and invaluable experience to the DAO.
The ENS DAO does not exist in a vacuum. It is a co-existing entity in a web of DAOs throughout the greater Web3 ecosystem. It’s important to not only build relationships with DeFi DAOs, but also culture DAOs as well to increase DAO sentiment and resilience.
The DAO2DAO feature will consist of co-authoring an article with a lead contributor of another DAO. The DAO2DAO feature will detail how ENS intrsects with the featured DAO.
We'll also focus on writing guides on how to navigate aspects of our ecosystem, starting with this first guide that aims to help new participants in the ecosystem submit their first Gitcoin Grant!
