To use tokens in decentralised applications such as Uniswap or OpenSea you have to grant the application permission to spend tokens on your behalf - known as an allowance. Allowances are an important part of using these apps, but can be dangerous if left unchecked.

Bugs can exists and exploits can happen even in established projects, and by approving token allowances you are potentially exposing your wallet to these exploits. To keep yourself safe from allowance exploits it is a good practice to regularly inspect and revoke your allowances.

Revoke.cash comes in as a preventative tool to manage your token allowances and practice proper wallet hygiene. By regularly revoking active allowances you reduce the chances of becoming the victim of allowance exploits.

In many cases, phishing websites try to make you sign an allowance while they pretend to be an NFT mint or other legitimate use cases. When these phishing scams happen, it is recommended to use Revoke.cash to mitigate the damage, but it is even better to prevent the scam in the first place.

Hi, we're currently in the process of developing free DeFi courses that will be available to everyone once we're finished in the next 8 weeks or so. In the meantime, you can check out the courses we're developing here.

Our end goal is to create a decentralized education program that will produce the first set of Graduates. They will further educate others and continue to do education batches so that more people have the opportunity to learn and grow and develop on top of other DeFi Protocol.

Inverter dApp is inspired by the Operations Portals that are being used to fund over 1.2 trillion USD for development projects across the globe by organizations like the United Nations, World Bank, and European Union. Our aim is to interconnect the novel technologies of web3 to the grounded funding infrastructures of traditional organizations to improve access to funding and inspire distributed ownership for builders and funders of the next generation of the internet regardless of their backgrounds.

Breaking down complicated Web3 lingo for the Global south, by using OUR methods of communication-storytelling, song, analogies, parables

The barriers to entry to the Web3 space are mostly in understanding. We need funding to keep incentivising the community to contribute to this encyclopaedia. I have been engaging creatives and tech natives for their contributions and have been collecting them manually on a google form. The target of this body of work would not just be Web3 enthusiasts, but researchers, policy makers and the police, who have struggled to grasp even the basic concepts. The vision is to create a language that is not global north native, as I truly believe that our solutions will be solved by our builders. Localisation and contextualisation are the first steps in encouraging the much needed growth and systems change that the Global south requires. 

In order for the Blockchain space to collectively move forward, there is a pressing need within the larger ecosystem to create a common language and understanding. This stands true even for people who are actively and regularly engaging within the space. There is a need to create inclusive knowledge commons through a compiled set of vocabularies and definitions that allow us to communicate outside of our current capitalistic systems. This can be used to conserve heritage, pass down indigenous knowledge and preserve our humanity.  

When creating solutions for farmers, land stewards etc, it is imperative to include them in the conversation, they don't have to build the SDK or be a developer, but a basic understanding of the potential of blockchain infrastructure is vital in the creation, implementation and success of these solutions. This is where I see the most lasting impact happening and this is where our community can make the most difference.

## Solution

Pairwise is a novel voting pattern and [dapp](https://pairwise.generalmagic.io/) that makes it easy and fun for web3 communities to signal their preferences. If this project can be well funded, it will enable much greater engagement for web3 communities across the ecosystem.

Pairwise aims to make it easier for Web3 communities to signal their preferences and make informed decisions. Pairwise is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, like a dating app, allowing users to choose between pairs of options to signal their preferences as opposed to having to read endless forum posts and vote within a set time period. The system converts these simple subjective inputs into objective, measurable outputs, minimizing the cost and cognitive burden of voting.

Pairwise will be implemented as a [dapp](https://pairwise.generalmagic.io/) with its own front end and an open-source backend that can be used in various contexts, such as community governance or project funding with custom front ends. Pairwise voting will be compatible with all Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains and the development will be fully open source, and will also include documentation for developers who want to use the system in their own projects.

The goal of the project is to promote greater community engagement in DAO’s decision-making processes. But not only can Pairwise be used for governance with different snapshot strategies, but Pairwise can also be used to allocate budgets based on community signaling. And that’s just the beginning - we can’t wait to see how the community will discover and utilize all of the potential use cases for this tool.

## Differentiation (from other projects)

Pairwise is similar to Snapshot, but with a specific type of UX. Snapshot votes are built around the expectation that users will go do research in forums and read long-form discussions. Our approach leans into the fact that most of the community isn’t even going to skim the forum posts and will vote with their gut. The goal is to give a clearer signal of what the community wants through more engagement in fun and simple micro-decisions.

Pairwise shouldn’t be used for EVERY decision, but we believe it is an important complement to the current voting applications that exist today.

At General Magic, we believe in the power of collaboration in the open-source world. That’s why we would be thrilled if Snapshot chose to integrate Pairwise into their platform. However, even if Snapshot decides not to, we are still committed to deploying this feature independently and integrating Snapshot’s strategies into our system.
